Our pre-procedure oral (conscious) sedation method offered to our patients with a deeper anxiety and/or fear of having dental work done consists of a limited number of medications that you are able to take in a single dose about an hour prior to your appointment, thus giving you a deeper level of sedation than nitrous oxide gas.
With this oral (conscious) sedation method, there are no needles or IV anesthesia, but instead just 1 to 2 pills that you take orally with a glass of water for a more profound sedative effect. Often, people will not remember much of the appointment, finding oral (conscious) sedation as a great way to relax and be more comfortable through the dental procedure.
Please note, you must have someone drive you to and from your appointment with this sedative method.
